حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ وَعَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ سُمَيٍّ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رُئِيَ بِالْعَرْجِ وَهُوَ يَصُبُّ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ مَاءً وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ مِنْ الْحَرِّ أَوْ مِنْ الْعَطَشِ.
English Translation
Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi and Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, from Malik, from Sumayy, from Abu Bakr ibn Abd al-Rahman, from one of the Companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was seen at al-'Arj pouring water over his head while he was fasting, because of the heat or because of thirst.
