حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ شَقِيقٍ قَالَ قَالَ حُذَيْفَةُ إِنَّ أَشْبَهَ النَّاسِ هَدْيًا وَدَلًّا وَسَمْتًا بِمُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ مِنْ حِينِ يَخْرُجُ إِلَى أَنْ يَرْجِعَ لَا أَدْرِي مَا يَصْنَعُ فِي بَيْتِهِ.
English Translation
It was narrated to us by Muhammad ibn Ubayd, who said: It was narrated to us by al-A'mash, from Shaqiq, who said: Hudhayfah said: "The most similar of people in conduct, manner, and demeanor to Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, is Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, from the time he goes out until he returns - I do not know what he does inside his house."
