English Translation
It was narrated to us by Abu Ahmad, who said: It was narrated to us by Isra'il, from Abu Ishaq, from Abu al-Mughirah, from Hudhayfah, who said: "There was in my tongue a sharpness toward my family which I did not extend to anyone else, so I mentioned that to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. He said: Where do you stand regarding seeking forgiveness, O Hudhayfah? Indeed I seek Allah's forgiveness every day a hundred times and repent to Him." He said: Then I mentioned it to Abu Burdah ibn Abi Musa, and he narrated to me from Abu Musa that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed I seek Allah's forgiveness every day and night a hundred times and repent to Him."
