حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَهْمِ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةَ الْخَوْفِ بِذِي قَرَدٍ أَرْضٍ مِنْ أَرْضِ بَنِي سُلَيْمٍ فَصَفَّ النَّاسُ خَلْفَهُ صَفَّيْنِ صَفًّا يُوَازِي الْعَدُوَّ وَصَفًّا خَلْفَهُ فَصَلَّى بِالصَّفِّ الَّذِي يَلِيهِ رَكْعَةً ثُمَّ نَكَصَ هَؤُلَاءِ إِلَى مَصَافِّ هَؤُلَاءِ وَهَؤُلَاءِ إِلَى مَصَافِّ هَؤُلَاءِ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ رَكْعَةً أُخْرَى حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ عَنْ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ زَهْدَمٍ الْحَنْظَلِيِّ قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْعَاصِ بِطَبَرِسْتَانَ فَقَالَ أَيُّكُمْ صَلَّى مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةَ الْخَوْفِ قَالَ فَقَالَ حُذَيْفَةُ أَنَا فَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ فَوَصَفَ مِثْلَ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَزَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ.
English Translation
Waki' told us, Sufyan told us, from Abu Bakr b. Abi al-Jahm, from 'Ubaydullah b. 'Abdullah b. 'Utbah, from Ibn 'Abbas, he said: The Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed the Prayer of Fear at Dhu Qarad, a place in the land of Banu Sulaym. The people formed two rows behind him: a row facing the enemy and a row behind him. He prayed one rak'ah with the row nearest to him, then these fell back to the position of those, and those to the position of these, and he prayed with them another rak'ah. Waki' told us, from Sufyan, from Ash'ath b. Abi al-Sha'tha', from al-Aswad b. Hilal, from Tha'labah b. Zahdam al-Hanzali, he said: We were with Sa'id b. al-'As at Tabaristan, and he said: "Which of you prayed the Prayer of Fear with the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him)?" Hudhayfah said: "I did." Sufyan said: and he described it like the hadith of Ibn 'Abbas and Zayd b. Thabit.
