English Translation
Aswad ibn Amir told us, Sharik told us, from Muhajir al-Sa'igh, from a man he did not name among the Companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that he heard a man - meaning the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him - reciting "Say, O disbelievers..." and he said, "As for this one, he has disavowed polytheism," and he heard another reciting "Say, He is Allah, One," and he said, "As for this one, he has been forgiven."
