حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الدَّسْتُوَائِيُّ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَّامٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ بَخٍ بَخٍ لِخَمْسٍ مَا أَثْقَلَهُنَّ فِي الْمِيزَانِ قَالَ رَجُلٌ مَا هُنَّ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ وَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَالْوَلَدُ الصَّالِحُ يُتَوَفَّى فَيَحْتَسِبُهُ وَالِدُهُ خَمْسٌ مَنْ اتَّقَى اللَّهَ بِهِنَّ مُسْتَيْقِنًا دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ مَنْ شَهِدَ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ وَأَيْقَنَ بِالْمَوْتِ وَالْبَعْثِ وَالْحِسَابِ.
English Translation
Yazid told us: Hisham ibn Abi Abdullah ad-Dastawa'i told us, from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, from Abu Sallam, that a man told him that he heard the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say: How excellent, how excellent are five things - how heavy they are in the scale! A man said, "What are they, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: There is no god but Allah, Allah is Greatest, Glory be to Allah, Praise be to Allah, and a righteous child who dies and whose parent seeks reward for him with Allah. Five things: whoever fears Allah through them with certainty enters Paradise - whoever bears witness that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger, and is certain of death, resurrection, and the reckoning.
