حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ حَبِيبٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ أَبِي بَشِيرٍ وَابْنَةَ أَبِي بَشِيرٍ يُحَدِّثَانِ عَنْ أَبِيهِمَا عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي الْحُمَّى أَبْرِدُوهَا بِالْمَاءِ فَإِنَّهَا مِنْ فَيْحِ جَهَنَّمَ.
English Translation
Muhammad b. Ja'far told us, Shu'bah told us, from Habib al-Ansari, who said: I heard the son of Abu Bashir and the daughter of Abu Bashir narrating from their father, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that he said concerning fever: "Cool it with water, for it is from the exhalation of Hellfire."
