حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ وَعَارِمٌ وَيُونُسُ قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا مَهْدِيُّ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ عَنْ وَاصِلٍ مَوْلَى أَبِي عُيَيْنَةَ قَالَ عَارِمٌ حَدَّثَنَا وَاصِلٌ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عُقَيْلٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَعْمَرَ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ الدِّيْلِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عُرِضَتْ عَلَيَّ أَعْمَالُ أُمَّتِي حَسَنُهَا وَسَيِّئُهَا فَوَجَدْتُ فِي مَحَاسِنِ أَعْمَالِهَا إِمَاطَةَ الْأَذَى عَنْ الطَّرِيقِ وَوَجَدْتُ فِي مَسَاوِئِ أَعْمَالِهَا النُّخَاعَةَ قَالَ عَارِمٌ تَكُونُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ لَا تُدْفَنُ وَقَالَ يُونُسُ النُّخَاعَةُ تَكُونُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ لَا تُدْفَنُ.
English Translation
Wahb ibn Jarir, Arim, and Yunus told us, they said: Mahdi ibn Maymun told us, from Wasil, freedman of Abu Uyayna — Arim said: Wasil told us — from Yahya ibn Uqayl, from Yahya ibn Ya'mar, from Abu al-Aswad al-Dili, from Abu Dharr, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The deeds of my nation were presented to me, the good and the bad of them, and I found among their good deeds the removal of something harmful from the road, and I found among their bad deeds spittle" — Arim said: "left in the mosque unburied," and Yunus said: "the spittle left in the mosque unburied."
