حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنِ الْمَسْعُودِيِّ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمَّا أَفَاضَ مِنْ عَرَفَةَ فَسَارَعَ قَوْمٌ فَقَالَ امْتَدُّوا وَسُدُّوا لَيْسَ الْبِرُّ بِإِيضَاعِ الْخَيْلِ وَلَا الرِّكَابِ قَالَ فَمَا رَأَيْتُ رَافِعَةً يَدَهَا تَعْدُو حَتَّى أَتَيْنَا جَمْعًا.
English Translation
When the Prophet (peace be upon him) departed from Arafat, people rushed forward. He said: 'Keep calm and close the gaps. Righteousness is not in urging the horses and riding beasts to go fast.' Ibn Abbas said: I did not see a single one raising her hand galloping until we reached Muzdalifah.
