حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُؤْمِنِ الْمُقْرِئُ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ شَقِيقٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الرَّازِيُّ عَنْ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ قَالَ انْكَسَفَتْ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى بِهِمْ فَقَرَأَ بِسُورَةٍ مِنْ الطُّوَلِ ثُمَّ رَكَعَ خَمْسَ رَكَعَاتٍ وَسَجْدَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ قَامَ الثَّانِيَةَ فَقَرَأَ بِسُورَةٍ مِنْ الطُّوَلِ ثُمَّ رَكَعَ خَمْسَ رَكَعَاتٍ وَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ جَلَسَ كَمَا هُوَ مُسْتَقْبِلَ الْقِبْلَةِ يَدْعُو حَتَّى انْجَلَى كُسُوفُهَا.
English Translation
Abdullah told us, Rawh ibn Abdul-Mu'min al-Muqri told us, Umar ibn Shaqiq told us, Abu Ja'far al-Razi told us, from al-Rabi' ibn Anas, from Abu al-Aliyah, from Ubayy ibn Ka'b, who said: The sun was eclipsed in the time of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, led the people in prayer. He recited a long surah, then bowed five times with two prostrations. Then he stood for the second unit and recited a long surah, then bowed five times and prostrated twice. Then he sat as he was, facing the qiblah, supplicating, until the eclipse cleared.
