English Translation
Ali ibn Thabit al-Jazari narrated to us from Nasih Abu Abdullah, from Simak ibn Harb, from Jabir ibn Samurah, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "For a man to discipline his child - or for one of you to discipline his child - is better for him than giving half a sa' in charity every day." Abdullah said: My father did not include this hadith in his Musnad because of Nasih, since he is weak in hadith, but he dictated it to me among the rare narrations.
