حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبِيدَةُ بْنُ أَبِي رَائِطَةَ الْحَذَّاءُ التَّمِيمِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ أَوْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ الْمُزَنِيِّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اللَّهَ اللَّهَ فِي أَصْحَابِي اللَّهَ اللَّهَ فِي أَصْحَابِي لَا تَتَّخِذُوهُمْ غَرَضًا بَعْدِي فَمَنْ أَحَبَّهُمْ فَبِحُبِّي أَحَبَّهُمْ وَمَنْ أَبْغَضَهُمْ فَبِبُغْضِي أَبْغَضَهُمْ وَمَنْ آذَاهُمْ فَقَدْ آذَانِي وَمَنْ آذَانِي فَقَدْ آذَى اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَمَنْ آذَى اللَّهَ فَيُوشِكُ أَنْ يَأْخُذَهُ.
English Translation
Sa'id ibn Ibrahim told us, 'Abida ibn Abi Ra'ita al-Hadhdha' al-Tamimi told us, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Ziyad or 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Abdullah, from 'Abdullah ibn Mughaffal al-Muzani, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Allah, Allah, regarding my Companions! Allah, Allah, regarding my Companions! Do not take them as a target after me. Whoever loves them, loves them because of his love for me; whoever hates them, hates them because of his hatred for me; whoever harms them has harmed me; and whoever harms me has harmed Allah, Mighty and Majestic; and whoever harms Allah is about to be seized by Him."
