English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us, Shu'bah told us, from Khalid, from Abu Qilabah, from Malik ibn al-Huwayrith - who is Abu Sulayman - that they came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, he and a companion of his, or two companions of his - one of the two narrators, Ayyub or Khalid, said "two companions" - and he said to the two of them: "When the time for prayer comes, call the adhan and the iqamah, and let the eldest of you two lead you in prayer, and pray as you see me pray."
