English Translation
Sulayman b. Dawud al-Tayalisi, Abu Dawud, narrated to us: 'Imran informed us, from Qatada, from al-Hasan, from Abu Bakra, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said — meaning: "Fast upon sighting it, and break the fast upon sighting it; and if it is obscured from you, then complete the count to thirty. And the month is like this, and this, and this" — and he made a gesture with his hand.
