Abi Bakra narrated to us, who said: Abu Bakra said: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade us to sell silver for silver and gold for gold except equal for equal, and he commanded us to sell silver for gold and gold for silver however we wished. Thabit b. 'Ubayd said to him: "Hand to hand?" He said: "That is how I heard it."
