حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ الشَّحَّامُ حَدَّثَنِي مُسْلِمُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَيَخْرُجُ قَوْمٌ أَحْدَاثٌ أَحِدَّاءُ أَشِدَّاءُ ذَلِقَةٌ أَلْسِنَتُهُمْ بِالْقُرْآنِ يَقْرَءُونَهُ لَا يُجَاوِزُ تَرَاقِيَهُمْ فَإِذَا لَقِيتُمُوهُمْ فَأَنِيمُوهُمْ ثُمَّ إِذَا لَقِيتُمُوهُمْ فَاقْتُلُوهُمْ فَإِنَّهُ يُؤْجَرُ قَاتِلُهُمْ.
English Translation
Waki' narrated to us: 'Uthman Abu Salama al-Shahham narrated to us: Muslim b. Abi Bakra narrated to me, from his father, who said: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There will emerge a people, young in years, foolish, headstrong, sharp-tongued in reciting the Qur'an, which will not pass beyond their collarbones. So when you meet them, put them down; then when you meet them, kill them, for whoever kills them will be rewarded."
