حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ صَلَّيْتُ الظُّهْرَ بِالْبَطْحَاءِ خَلْفَ شَيْخٍ أَحْمَقَ فَكَبَّرَ ثِنْتَيْنِ وَعِشْرِينَ تَكْبِيرَةً يُكَبِّرُ إِذَا سَجَدَ وَإِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ قَالَ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ تِلْكَ صَلَاةُ أَبِي الْقَاسِمِ عَلَيْهِ الصَّلَاة وَالسَّلَامُ.
English Translation
I prayed Dhuhr at al-Batha' behind an ignorant old man who said twenty-two takbirs — saying takbir when prostrating and when raising his head. Ibn 'Abbas said: "That is the prayer of Abu al-Qasim (peace be upon him)."
