حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ حَدَّثَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ شِنْظِيرٍ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّهُ كَانَ رِدْفَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ وَكَانَتْ جَارِيَةٌ خَلْفَ أَبِيهَا فَجَعَلْتُ أَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهَا فَجَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصْرِفُ وَجْهِي عَنْهَا فَلَمْ يَزَلْ مِنْ جَمْعٍ إِلَى مِنًى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُلَبِّي حَتَّى رَمَى الْجَمْرَةَ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ.
English Translation
Al-Fadl ibn 'Abbas was riding behind the Prophet (peace be upon him) on the Day of Sacrifice. There was a young woman behind her father, and I (al-Fadl) kept looking at her. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) kept turning my face away from her. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) continued reciting the talbiyah from Muzdalifah to Mina until he stoned the Jamrah on the Day of Sacrifice.
