حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ وَعِصَامُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَرِيزٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي نِمْرَانُ بْنُ مِخْمَرٍ وَقَالَ عِصَامُ ابْنُ مُحْبِرٍ عَنْ شُرَحْبِيلَ بْنِ أَوْسٍ وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ فَإِنْ عَادَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ فَإِنْ عَادَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ فَإِنْ عَادَ فَاقْتُلُوهُ.
English Translation
It was narrated to us by Ali ibn Ayyash and Isam ibn Khalid, who said: it was narrated to us by Hariz, who said: it was narrated to me by Nimran ibn Mikhmar - and Isam said: Ibn Muhbir - from Shurahbil ibn Aws, who was one of the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that he said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever drinks wine, flog him; and if he does it again, flog him; and if he does it again, flog him; and if he does it again, then kill him."
