حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ وَابْنُ بَكْرٍ قَالَا أَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ أَنَّ يَزِيدَ بْنَ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أَبَا الْخَيْرِ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ أَنَّهُ قَالَ إِنَّ أُخْتِي نَذَرَتْ أَنْ تَمْشِيَ إِلَى بَيْتِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فَأَمَرَتْنِي أَنْ أَسْتَفْتِيَ لَهَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَاسْتَفْتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ لِتَمْشِ وَلْتَرْكَبْ قَالَ وَكَانَ أَبُو الْخَيْرِ لَا يُفَارِقُ عُقْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ أَنَّ يَزِيدَ بْنَ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ أَخْبَرَهُ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ.
English Translation
Abd al-Razzaq and Ibn Bakr told us, they said: Ibn Jurayj informed us, Sa'id ibn Abi Ayyub informed me that Yazid ibn Abi Habib informed him that Abu al-Khayr told him, from Uqbah ibn Amir al-Juhani, that he said: My sister vowed to walk to the House of Allah, Mighty and Majestic, so she ordered me to ask the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, for a ruling on her behalf. So I asked the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and he said: Let her walk and let her ride. He said: Abu al-Khayr never left Uqbah's side. Rawh told us, Ibn Jurayj told us, Yahya ibn Ayyub told us that Yazid ibn Abi Habib informed him, and he mentioned the hadith.
