حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ عُهْدَةُ الرَّقِيقِ أَرْبَعُ لَيَالٍ قَالَ قَتَادَةُ وَأَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ يَقُولُونَ ثَلَاثُ لَيَالٍ.
English Translation
'Abd al-Samad narrated to us, Hammam narrated to us, from Qatadah, from al-Hasan, from 'Uqbah ibn 'Amir, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "The right of return for a defect in a slave is four nights." Qatadah said: The people of Madinah say three nights.
