حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ قَيْسٍ الْجُذَامِيِّ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ أَعْتَقَ رَقَبَةً مُسْلِمَةً فَهِيَ فِدَاؤُهُ مِنْ النَّارِ.
English Translation
'Abd al-Samad narrated to us, Hisham narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Qays al-Judhami, from 'Uqbah ibn 'Amir al-Juhani, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Whoever frees a Muslim slave, it is his ransom from the Fire."
