حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنَا كَعْبُ بْنُ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ كَثِيرٍ مَوْلَى عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ سَتَرَ مُؤْمِنًا كَانَ كَمَنْ أَحْيَا مَوْءُودَةً مِنْ قَبْرِهَا.
English Translation
Hasan narrated to us, he said: Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, Ka'b ibn 'Alqamah narrated to us, from Kathir, the freedman of 'Uqbah ibn 'Amir al-Juhani, from 'Uqbah ibn 'Amir, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Whoever conceals the fault of a believer is like one who has brought back to life a girl buried alive."
