English Translation
Yahya b. Sa'id narrated to us, from Malik b. Anas, who said: Rabi'a narrated to me, from Hanzala b. Qays, from Rafi' b. Khadij, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the leasing of farmland. He said: I said: "Even for gold and silver?" He said: "No, he only forbade it in exchange for some of what comes out of it; as for gold and silver, there is no harm in it."
