حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَقَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْيَحْصَبِيِّ قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ قَالَ أَبِي كَذَا قَالَ يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ وَإِنَّمَا هُوَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَامِرٍ الْيَحْصَبِيُّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنَ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لَا تَزَالُ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي عَلَى الْحَقِّ لَا يُبَالُونَ مَنْ خَالَفَهُمْ أَوْ خَذَلَهُمْ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ أَمْرُ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ.
English Translation
Yahya ibn Ishaq said: Ibn Lahi'a informed us from Ja'far ibn Rabi'a from Rabi'a ibn Yazid from 'Amir ibn 'Abdullah al-Yahsubi - 'Abdullah said: my father said it this way, [but] Yahya ibn Ishaq said it is actually 'Abdullah ibn 'Amir al-Yahsubi - who said: I heard Mu'awiya ibn Abi Sufyan say: I heard the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say: 'A group of my nation will continue upon the truth, not concerned by whoever opposes or forsakes them, until the command of Allah, Mighty and Majestic, comes.'
