English Translation
Safwan said, from Yazid ibn Abi 'Ubayd, from Salamah, who said: When we arrived at Khaybar, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, saw fires being lit and said: "What are these fires being lit for?" They said: "For the meat of domestic donkeys." He said: "Break the pots and pour out what is in them." A man among the people stood up and said: "O Messenger of Allah, shall we pour out what is in them and wash them [instead]?" He said: "Or that."
