قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيْدٍ عَنْ بُشَيْرِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ رِجَالٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَدْرَكَهُمْ يَذْكُرُونَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ ظَهَرَ عَلَى خَيْبَرَ وَصَارَتْ خَيْبَرُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالْمُسْلِمِينَ ضَعُفُوا عَنْ عَمَلِهَا فَدَفَعُوهَا إِلَى الْيَهُودِ يَقُومُونَ عَلَيْهَا وَيُنْفِقُونَ عَلَيْهَا عَلَى أَنَّ لَهُمْ نِصْفَ مَا يَخْرُجُ مِنْهَا فَقَسَمَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى سِتَّةٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ سَهْمًا جَمَعَ كُلُّ سَهْمٍ مِائَةَ سَهْمٍ فَجَعَلَ نِصْفَ ذَلِكَ كُلِّهِ لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ وَكَانَ فِي ذَلِكَ النِّصْفِ سِهَامُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَسَهْمُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَعَهَا وَجَعَلَ النِّصْفَ الْآخَرَ لِمَنْ يَنْزِلُ بِهِ مِنْ الْوُفُودِ وَالْأُمُورِ وَنَوَائِبِ النَّاسِ.
English Translation
He said: Muhammad ibn Fudayl told us: Yahya ibn Sa'id told us, from Bushayr ibn Yasar, from men among the companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him whom he had met, who mentioned that when the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, prevailed over Khaybar, and Khaybar became the property of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and the Muslims, and the Muslims were too weak to work it, they gave it over to the Jews to manage and spend on it, on condition that they would have half of what came out of it. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, divided it into thirty-six shares, each share comprising a hundred portions. He made half of that entirely for the Muslims - and in that half were the shares of the Muslims along with the Messenger of Allah's share, peace and blessings be upon him - and he made the other half for whoever would come to him among delegations and for matters and needs of the people.
