حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ أَبِي إِيَاسٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي وَقَدْ كَانَ أَدْرَكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَمَسَحَ رَأْسَهُ وَاسْتَغْفَرَ لَهُ.
English Translation
Husayn ibn Muhammad told us: Shu'ba told us, from Mu'awiya Abu Iyas, who said: I heard my father — and he had met the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him — say that the Prophet wiped his head and asked forgiveness for him.
