English Translation
He said, Abd al-Malik ibn Amr told us: Khalid ibn Maysara told us: Mu'awiya ibn Qurra told us, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade eating these two foul plants, and said, 'Whoever eats them should not come near our mosque,' and said, 'If you must eat them, then kill them by cooking.' He said: meaning onion and garlic.
