قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ حَفْصَةَ ابْنَةِ سِيرِينَ عَنِ الرَّبَابِ عَنْ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَفْطَرَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيُفْطِرْ عَلَى تَمْرٍ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ فَلْيُفْطِرْ بِمَاءٍ فَإِنَّ الْمَاءَ طَهُورٌ.
English Translation
He said, Abd al-Razzaq told us: Hisham informed us, from Hafsa bint Sirin, from al-Rabab, from Salman ibn Amir, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'When one of you breaks his fast, let him break it with dates; and if he cannot find any, let him break it with water, for water is purifying.'
