قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ عَنْ حَفْصَةَ عَنِ الرَّبَابِ عَنْ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الضَّبِّيِّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَفْطَرَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيُفْطِرْ عَلَى تَمْرٍ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ فَلْيُفْطِرْ عَلَى مَاءٍ فَإِنَّهُ طَهُورٌ.
English Translation
He said, Abu Mu'awiya told us: Asim told us, from Hafsa, from al-Rabab, from Salman ibn Amir al-Dabbi, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'When one of you breaks his fast, let him break it with dates; and if he cannot find any, let him break it with water, for it is purifying.'
