English Translation
He said: Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr told us: Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Ghasil informed us, from Abbas ibn Sahl, from Hamzah ibn Abi Usayd, from his father, who said: When we and the enemy met on the day of Badr, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to us that day, 'When they draw close to you' — meaning when they come near you — 'shoot them with arrows.' And I think he also said, 'And conserve your arrows.'
