English Translation
Ibrahim b. Ishaq narrated to us: Damrah b. Rabi'ah narrated to us, from Ibrahim b. Abi Ablah, from al-Gharif al-Daylami, who said: We came to Wathilah b. al-Asqa' al-Laythi and said, "Tell us a hadith you heard from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him." He said: We came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, regarding a companion of ours who had become liable for a grave sin, and he said, "Free slaves on his behalf; Allah, Mighty and Majestic, will free, for every limb, a corresponding limb of his from the Fire."
