حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ وَسَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ خُثَيْمٍ الْهِلَالِيُّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَدَّتِي رَبِيعَةَ ابْنَةَ عِيَاضٍ قَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ جَدِّي عُبَيْدَةَ بْنَ عَمْرٍو الْكِلَابِيَّ يَقُولُ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَوَضَّأَ فَأَسْبَغَ الْوُضُوءَ قَالَ وَكَانَتْ رِبْعِيَّةُ إِذَا تَوَضَّأَتْ أَسْبَغَتْ الْوُضُوءَ.
English Translation
Uthman b. Muhammad narrated to us — and I myself also heard it from Uthman b. Muhammad b. Abi Shaybah — he said: Sa'id b. Khuthaym al-Hilali narrated to us: I heard my grandmother Rabi'ah bint Iyad say: I heard my grandfather Ubaydah b. Amr al-Kilabi say: I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, perform ablution and complete it thoroughly. He said: And Rib'iyyah, whenever she performed ablution, would complete it thoroughly.
