English Translation
Abd al-Razzaq and Ibn Bakr told us, both saying: Ibn Jurayj informed us, saying: Ibn Shihab told me that Abd al-Rahman ibn Abdullah ibn Ka'b ibn Malik related to him, from his father Abdullah ibn Ka'b, and from his uncle Ubaydullah ibn Ka'b, from Ka'b ibn Malik, who said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would never return from a journey except by day, in the forenoon; and when he arrived, he would begin at the mosque and pray two rak'ahs there, then sit in it. Ibn Bakr said in his account: from his father Abdullah ibn Ka'b ibn Malik, from his uncle.
