English Translation
Affan told us, Hammad told us, Abu al-Zubayr informed us, from Jabir, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded us to close the doors, tie the waterskins, extinguish the lamps, and restrain our loose animals until the darkness of the evening had passed, and he forbade us that a man eat with his left hand, or walk with a single sandal, or wrap himself so as to leave nothing else on, or sit huddled wrapped in a single garment.
