English Translation
Yunus told us, Layth told us, from Yazid - meaning Ibn al-Had - from Umar ibn Ali ibn al-Husayn, who said: It has reached me that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Reduce going out after the stillness of night falls, for Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has creatures that He scatters about; so when you hear the barking of a dog or the braying of donkeys, seek refuge with Allah from Satan." And he said: Layth told us, Yazid said: and Shurahbil related this hadith to me, from Jabir ibn Abdullah, who said that he heard it from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him.
