English Translation
Muhammad ibn Bishr told us, Muhammad ibn Amr told us, Sa'id told us, from Jabir ibn Abdullah, he said: We used to pray the noon prayer with the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, and I would take a handful of pebbles in my hand and put them in my other hand until they cooled, then prostrate on them because of the intensity of the heat. Abdullah said: In my father's book it was "from Sa'id from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri," but my father struck it out because it was an error; it is actually Sa'id ibn al-Harith — Ibn Bishr made a mistake.
