حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ قِيلَ لِأَنَسٍ هَلْ شَابَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَا شَانَهُ اللَّهُ بِالشَّيْبِ مَا كَانَ فِي رَأْسِهِ وَلِحْيَتِهِ إِلَّا سَبْعَ عَشْرَةَ أَوْ ثَمَانِ عَشْرَةَ.
English Translation
Affan told us: Hammad told us, from Thabit, he said: It was said to Anas: "Did the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, turn gray?" He said: "Allah did not mar him with grayness; there was nothing in his head and beard except seventeen or eighteen gray hairs."
