English Translation
Abu al-Mughirah told us, from Mu’an ibn Rifa’ah, who said: ‘Abd al-Wahhab ibn Bukht al-Makki told me, from Anas ibn Malik, from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "May Allah make radiant a servant who hears this saying of mine and conveys it, for many a bearer of understanding is not himself a person of understanding, and many a bearer of understanding conveys it to one more understanding than himself. There are three things toward which a Muslim’s heart should never harbor treachery: sincerity of action for Allah, Mighty and Majestic; sincere counsel to those in authority; and holding fast to the community of the Muslims, for their call encompasses those who stray from behind them."
