حَدَّثَنَا فَزَارَةُ بْنُ عُمَرَ وَيُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسَاحِقٍ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ مَا رَأَيْتُ إِمَامًا أَشْبَهَ صَلَاةً بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ إِمَامِكُمْ لِعُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ قَالَ وَكَانَ عُمَرُ لَا يُطِيلُ الْقِرَاءَةَ.
English Translation
Fazara ibn Umar and Yunus ibn Muhammad told us, they said: Fulayh told us, from Muhammad ibn Musahiq, from Amir ibn Abdullah, from Anas, who said: I have not seen an imam whose prayer more resembled the prayer of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, than your imam, Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz. He said: And Umar did not prolong the recitation.
