English Translation
Abu Salama al-Khuza'i told us: Layth informed us, from Yazid - that is, ibn al-Had - from Abd al-Wahhab ibn Abi Bakr, from Abdullah ibn Muslim, from Ibn Shihab, from Anas, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was asked about al-Kawthar, and he said: A river that my Lord has given me, whiter than milk and sweeter than honey, with birds in it like the necks of camels. Umar said: O Messenger of Allah, those are indeed delicate birds! He said: Those who eat of them are more delicate than they are, O Umar.
