English Translation
He said: I read to Abd ar-Rahman: Malik, from al-Ala' ibn Abd ar-Rahman, that he said: We entered upon Anas ibn Malik after the noon prayer, and he rose to pray the afternoon prayer. When he had finished his prayer, we mentioned — or he mentioned — the delaying of the prayer, and he said: I heard the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, say, "That is the prayer of the hypocrites, that is the prayer of the hypocrites: one of them sits until, when the sun turns yellow and is between the two horns of Satan, he gets up and pecks out four rak'ahs hastily, hardly remembering God in them at all."
