حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدَّثَنَا عَزْرَةُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ أَنَسًا كَانَ يَتَنَفَّسُ فِي الْإِنَاءِ مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا قَالَ وَزَعَمَ أَنَسٌ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَتَنَفَّسُ فِي الْإِنَاءِ ثَلَاثًا.
English Translation
Abd ar-Rahman told us, Azrah ibn Thabit al-Ansari told us, from Thumamah ibn Abdullah ibn Anas, that Anas used to pause for breath twice or three times while drinking from the vessel, and he said: Anas claimed that the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, used to pause for breath three times from the vessel.
