حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنِ أَبِي عِصَامٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَتَنَفَّسُ فِي الْإِنَاءِ ثَلَاثًا وَيَقُولُ هُوَ أَهْنَأُ وَأَمْرَأُ وَأَبْرَأُ.
English Translation
Abd ar-Rahman ibn Mahdi told us, Hisham told us, from Abu Isam, from Anas, that the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, used to pause for breath three times while drinking from the vessel, and would say, "It is more wholesome, more palatable, and more healthful."
