حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ لَمَّا رَجَعْنَا مِنْ غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ قَالَ عَلَيْهِ الصَّلَاة وَالسَّلَامُ إِنَّ بِالْمَدِينَةِ أَقْوَامًا مَا قَطَعْتُمْ وَادِيًا وَلَا سِرْتُمْ مَسِيرًا إِلَّا شَرَكُوكُمْ فِيهِ قَالُوا وَهُمْ بِالْمَدِينَةِ قَالَ حَبَسَهُمْ الْعُذْرُ.
English Translation
Yahya told us, from Humayd, from Anas, who said: When we returned from the expedition of Tabuk, he, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "There are people in Medina who, whatever valley you crossed or journey you made, shared with you in its reward." They said, "Even though they were in Medina?" He said, "An excuse held them back."
