English Translation
Mu'ammal told us: Hammad told us: Thabit told us, from Anas, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said to his Companions, "Ask me." A man stood up and said, "O Messenger of Allah, who is my father?" He said, "Your father is Hudhafah," the one to whom he had been attributed. His mother said to him, "My son, you have put your mother in a terrible position." He said, "I wanted to clear my chest of what was being said, for something indeed was being said about it."
