حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ وَعَفَّانُ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ مُوسَى أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ وَقَالَ عَفَّانُ فِي حَدِيثِهِ حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى أَبُو الْعَلَاءِ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي صَلَاةَ الظُّهْرِ أَيَّامَ الشِّتَاءِ وَمَا نَدْرِي مَا ذَهَبَ مِنْ النَّهَارِ أَكْثَرُ أَوْ مَا بَقِيَ مِنْهُ.
English Translation
Abu Kamil and Affan told us -- they said: Hammad ibn Salamah told us, from Musa Abu al-'Ala' -- and Affan said in his narration: Musa Abu al-'Ala' told us -- from Anas ibn Malik, who said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to pray the noon prayer in the winter days, and we did not know whether more of the day had passed or more remained of it.
