English Translation
Ibn Abi Adiyy narrated to us from Humayd, from Anas, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, entered upon Umm Sulaym, and she brought him dates and clarified butter, but he was fasting, so he said, "Put your dates back in their container and your butter back in its skin." Then he stood in a corner of the house and prayed two rak'ahs, and we prayed with him. Then he supplicated good for Umm Sulaym and her family. Umm Sulaym said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have a special request." He said, "What is it?" She said, "Your servant Anas." He said: So he did not leave any good, of this world or the Hereafter, without supplicating for me with it, and he said, "O Allah, grant him wealth and offspring, and bless him in them." He said: There is no one among the Ansar with more wealth than me, though he mentioned that he possessed no gold or silver except his ring. And he mentioned that his eldest daughter, Umaynah, informed him that more than one hundred twenty of his own descendants had been buried by the time of the coming of al-Hajjaj.
