English Translation
Ibn Abi Adiyy narrated to us, Humayd narrated to us, and Yazid, Humayd informed us - the meaning being the same - from Anas ibn Malik, who said: The call for prayer was announced, and everyone whose house was near the mosque got up, while those whose families' homes were far remained. A stone basin was brought to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, but it was too small for him to spread his hands in it. He said: So he drew his fingers together, and the rest of them performed ablution from it. Humayd said: Anas was asked how many they were, and he said, "Eighty, or more."
